Our office hours are Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm and we close at weekends and on Bank Holidays.
Our office is a few steps away from our Vizion, Hub and South Row apartments, and a 10 minute walk from the Theatre District. Also, the Shortstay-MK office is approximately a 10 minute walk from Milton Keynes Central train station and there is a taxi rank outside. Some local taxis (all offer wheelchair-friendly vehicles)

The bus stop for Milton Keynes Central train station is the Z4 which is a 5 minute walk from our office.
The Centre:MK – the famous 1-mile long shopping mall - is a few minutes’ walk from our apartments.

You’ll be given your Welcome Envelopes with keys and directions to your apartment any time from 4.00 pm the day you arrive, from the reception desk in our office building at 500 Avebury Boulevard. This desk is manned 24 hours per day. Your apartment has its own allocated parking bay. You’ll find the bay number you need in your booking confirmation.

Parking details Vizion: has an underground car park which you access through electronic gates. You’ll find an electronic device with your keys which you use to open the gates.
The Hub: has an underground car park which you access through electronic gates. You’ll find an electronic device with your keys which you use to open the gates. To avoid getting a fine, make sure you display your parking permit at all times on your dashboard and park in the correct bay.
Theatre District: has an underground car park which you access through electronic gates. You’ll find an electronic device with your keys which you use to open the gates. To avoid getting a fine, make sure you display your parking permit at all times on your dashboard and park in the correct bay.
South Row: parking bays are outdoors - not underground – which you access through electronic gates. You’ll find an electronic device with your keys, which you use to open the gates.
Public Areas – General
None of our apartment complexes yet has a dedicated Shortstay:MK reception desk. However we hope to work towards this in the future.
Refuse Each apartment complex has its own refuse (rubbish) collection area.
You’ll find details about that in the Welcome Pack that’s in your apartment. Your housekeeper will help by taking out your kitchen refuse when the weekly cleaning is done.
Public Areas – toilets There is a public toilet in the Vizion Concierge area, which also has a reception desk.
Vizion concierge is manned 24 hours per day.
Restaurant/Dining Room, Bars and Lounges, Take Away & Café
There are no restaurants in our apartment complexes themselves. However within a short walk of all of them you’ll find a large selection of restaurants, bars, cafés and takeaway outlets, most with excellent accessibility for wheelchairs and disabled toilet facilities.
Entertainment in Milton Keynes Being a modern city built only in the last 50 years or so, Milton Keynes offers excellent accessibility for people with disabilities. Cinemas, the Milton Keynes Theatre, Xscape and various other public buildings are all well-equipped.
Grocery Shopping Sainsbury’s supermarket is right by our Vizion, South Row and The Hub apartment complexes. The Theatre District is just a 3 minute drive, taxi or bus ride away.
Laundry All Shortstay-MK superior and deluxe apartments have their own washer/dryer. Some of our standard apartments have a washer only.
Apartments in Vizion, Milton Keynes
The main entry doors are 81” high (2.05m), 36.5” wide (0.92m)
Internal doors are 81” high and 32.5” wide (0.82m)
Kitchen worktops are 36” high (0.91m).
Heating is controllable throughout.
There is a wall mounted video intercom in the hallway and a call-button direct to concierge 40” from floor level (1.01m).
Bathrooms Main bathrooms have bath 22” high (0.55m) with a shower over. En-suites have cubicle showers with a 11” (0.27m) step-in shower
Bathrooms have tiled floors with anti-slip surface. Handbasin height is 32” high (0.81m)
Toilet height is 15.5” (0.39m)
There are vanity units under washbasins.
Self-Catering Kitchens and Dining Area
All kitchens have a bench height of 36” (0.91m) and wall units at 55” (1.39m). We are happy to move cutlery and crockery into the lower level cupboards. Please advise our sales office at least 48 hours prior to your arrival.
All kitchens are fully fitted with:
Washer/dryer front loading.
Low level electric oven with drop down door.
Bench level hob with 4 rings.
Full sized fridge at top and freezer at bottom.
Microwave on work surface.
Kettle on work surface.
Toaster on work surface.
Front loading dishwasher
Crockery and cutlery in drawers.
Smoke alarms are fitted.
Chairs are movable and have no arms.
1 bed apartments have a minimum of 2 dining chairs
2 bed apartments have a minimum of 4 dining chairs
3 bed apartments have a minimum of 6 dining chairs
Lighting is mounted on the ceiling and under units.
Flooring is linoleum.
Flatscreen remote TV with Sky package including Sky Sports and Sky Movies.
DVD player. i-Pod dock.
Furniture is moveable.
Bedrooms have a double, kingsize or twin beds. Please state your preference at the time of booking.
Non feather duvets and pillows provided.
Beds are in the middle of the room allowing access either side.
Put-u-up beds must be requested at the time of booking.

Wireless internet access throughout the apartments.
There is a lift from the garage area to concierge, level 1 and level 2 where the apartments and water gardens are situated.
Some blocks do not require access via the concierge and go straight to street level, please request when booking if this allows easier accessibility.
Each block has its own lift and is accessed via a swipe fob.
There is no smoking throughout the properties.
Inclusive with your reservation is wi-fi, parking, Sky and a weekly housemaid service.
